Superintendent’s Corner: Dr. Enos Shares His Thoughts
Gunter ISD Families and Community Members,
As we move further into the school year, we want to share the exciting work happening across our district, all focused on supporting our students and helping them thrive.
Academic Excellence: We are adding aligned High-Quality Instructional Materials in Math and ELAR and a PK–12 Math Framework to ensure consistency and rigor across all grade levels. Our academic programs are continually evaluated to meet students where they are and prepare them for long-term success.
Student-Led Learning: Student-led parent-teacher conferences have started, giving our students the opportunity to take the lead in their educational experiences. These conferences encourage ownership, reflection, and active participation in their learning journey.
Character and Social-Emotional Growth: We are reviewing character education programs to implement a district-wide initiative that helps students develop resilience, soft skills, and healthy relationships.
Supporting Students and Families: Thanks to the Gunter Ladies for Tomorrow, programs like LovePacs provide meals and resources to students in need, ensuring every child has what they need to focus and succeed.
Fine Arts, Athletics, and Innovation: With two new gyms and an updated band practice surface, students have more space to practice and compete. From band performances to CTE projects, students are growing their skills, confidence, and creativity both inside and outside the classroom.
Strategic Planning and Relationships: Our 2026–2031 strategic planning process is underway, focused on actionable growth measures and maintaining strong relationships across our schools, families, and community as we grow. At Gunter ISD we will Inspire, Innovate, Impact!
Every initiative at Gunter ISD is designed with our students in mind. Thank you to our staff, families, and community partners for helping us ensure that every student continues to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive and inspiring environment.
With gratitude, Brandon Enos, Ed.D. Superintendent and Lead Learner
