Superintendent’s Corner: Dr. Enos Shares His Thoughts

Gunter ISD families and colleagues,

Is it just me, or is this year moving at lightning speed? Every time I walk through our schools, I’m struck by how much growth and change happens in what feels like the blink of an eye.

I’ll be the first to admit that seeing the empty, quiet hallways during our recent "ice break" made me realize just how much I rely on your energy to fuel my own. While I hope you stayed safe and warm during those slick conditions, there is an unmistakable magic that returns to our district when we are back together. It truly is good to have you back!

That spirit was on full display recently with our incredible cheerleading squad. To our athletes: placing 4th at state is a massive feat that goes far beyond a trophy. Your heart, your late-night practices, and your refusal to give up was on full display; you embodied TPW. You’ve shown this entire community what is possible when you lean on one another, give your all, and set high expectations. You are an inspiration to us all.

As we jump back into our rhythm, let’s remember that our greatness isn’t found in single events, but in the small, beautiful things we do every day. "Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit. You are what you repeatedly do." ~ Aristotle

Let’s make excellence a habit , let's be kind, stay resilient, and lift each other up. I am so incredibly proud to be your superintendent!

With immense gratitude,

Dr. Enos

Mrs. Harper’s and Mrs. Keel's 3rd grade classes have been having an out-of-this-world adventure exploring the solar system in science! Students learned about the planets, fun facts about space, and asked great questions as they discovered what makes each planet unique. The excitement continued when Dr. Enos stopped by to join the fun and read a Dr. Seuss–style solar system book, bringing space science to life with rhythm and laughter. It was a memorable and engaging experience that made learning about the solar system both fun and unforgettable for our 3rd graders!

STATE Bound!

Gunter FFA’s Tractor Tech team dominated the area contest, sweeping the top spots with Maci Verden (1st), Brody Bracewell (2nd), and Zaiden Choate (3rd). Their high individual scores combined to earn the 1st overall team finish.
