Superintendent’s Corner: Dr. Enos Shares His Thoughts
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our students, staff, families, and community for an incredible first half of the school year. December provides us a chance to pause, recognize the progress we’ve made, and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
Over the past few months, Gunter ISD has continued to grow, not only in enrollment, but in collaboration, vision, and spirit. Our strategic planning committee, made up of more than 40 dedicated community representatives, has worked diligently to help shape the future of our district. Their voices, along with yours, are helping us build clear priorities that will guide our work in the years to come.
Across all campuses, teachers and staff are creating learning environments where students feel supported, challenged, and celebrated. From academic successes and extracurricular achievements to the everyday moments of kindness and perseverance, our students continue to make us proud.
As we move into the new year, we remain committed to strengthening opportunities for all learners, supporting our educators, and ensuring that Gunter ISD continues to be a place where every student can thrive.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. I hope your holiday season is filled with rest, joy, and meaningful time with loved ones.
Merry Christmas, Dr. Brandon Enos

GISD Veteran's Day Program |
|
|
GISD held its annual Veteran’s Day program on November 11, welcoming veterans from the community to be honored for their service. FFA members greeted guests and served as ushers, the flag was presented by Gunter Boy Scout Troop 3 and Mr. Barton opened the event with words of gratitude.
The program featured heartfelt performances, including the 3rd grade singing “We Honor You,” the band performing the songs of each military branch, and Musical Theater presenting the Star-Spangled Banner. Each veteran in attendance was individually recognized, with their years of service and roles proudly announced. Guest speaker Chris Enget delivered an inspiring message, followed by Luke Jennings’ moving bagpipe performance of Amazing Grace.
Dr. Enos closed the ceremony with appreciation and invited veterans to a special brunch prepared by GISD Food Services and served by NHS officers. The GHS Floral Design class added a thoughtful touch with beautifully arranged table décor.
It was a meaningful morning of gratitude, reflection, and community.

For two days, a dedicated team of stakeholders — including school administrators, teachers, parents, students, board members, and community members — joined together to help shape the future of Gunter ISD. Through meaningful discussion and collaboration, the group crafted a new mission statement and began laying the foundation for a strategic plan aimed at empowering all students to embrace lifelong learning, pursue excellence, and build strong character to shape their futures.
