Superintendent’s Corner: Dr. Enos Shares His Thoughts
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to share some exciting updates on where Gunter ISD is heading and how we are working to better serve our community.
A New Way to Connect: Meet Our Website Chatbot
One of my primary goals this year has been to improve communication across the district. To help achieve that, I am thrilled to introduce a brand-new feature on the district website: our AI chatbot!
This new tool is designed to help you find useful information instantly, without the need to send an email and wait for a response. For example, you can simply type in, "When is the next baseball game?" and the chatbot will quickly reply with the date, time, location, and our opponent. The possibilities are endless, so I highly encourage you to try it out the next time you need a quick answer about district events, policies, or schedules.
Charting Our Future: The GISD Strategic Plan
I am currently working on finalizing our updated Strategic Plan. This document is incredibly important, as it will guide our work at Gunter ISD over the next 5 to 7 years.
More importantly, this plan reflects our community. It was developed with the input of more than 100 students, staff, and community members, ensuring we stay focused on what matters most to the people who make GISD great. As our district grows, there will be opportunities for community members to stay involved by serving on action committees. If this interests you, please watch for updates and sign-ups coming in late summer!
Celebrating Our First Ambassador Academy Cohort
We recently celebrated a major milestone by graduating our very first cohort from the Gunter ISD Ambassador Academy! Over the course of the year, these engaged community members met with district leaders and were able to see "behind the curtain" into GISD's daily operations and inner workings.
It was a fantastic experience, and we are looking forward to keeping this program going strong. If you would like to be considered for the next Ambassador Academy cohort, applications will open in late summer.
Thank you for your continued partnership, enthusiasm, and support as we build a bright future for our students. It is a great time to be a Tiger!
Warm regards,
Dr. Enos, Superintendent, Gunter ISD
